The Opportunity
We are seeking a part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our NYC practice. This is a primarily virtual/telehealth role for patients in New York, with the possibility of in-person work in New York City based on practice needs and mutual agreement.
Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and risk assessments
• Provide medication management and ongoing psychiatric follow-up
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Monitor symptoms, response, side effects, and treatment adherence
• Provide patient education and support shared decision-making
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, therapists, primary care clinicians, and other providers
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation
• Participate in case consultation, team meetings, and quality-improvement activities
• Practice in a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and recovery-oriented manner
Required Qualifications
• Active New York State RN and Nurse Practitioner licenses in good standing
• National board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• New York prescriptive authority and ability to meet all applicable prescribing requirements
• Experience conducting psychiatric assessments and managing psychotropic medications
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and time-management skills
• Comfort providing high-quality care through telehealth
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the clinical team
Preferred Qualifications
• Outpatient psychiatry or private-practice experience
• Experience with complex or treatment-resistant psychiatric conditions
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary and integrative models of mental health care
Schedule and Work Arrangement
Part-time, with scheduling to be discussed. The position is remote within the New York City metropolitan area, with the possibility of mutually agreed in-person clinical work in NYC.
